Finally, Egypt

In my capacity as Director of Operations of the United Kingdom for One World Tours Limited, I am often asked about the destinations that I was and why I decided to become a tour operator. 10 years ago, I began my second trip around the world, and I suppose you could say that this is where it all really began. This is my first experience of thinking that Egypt.I visit the Seven Wonders of the World in eight days, would be a challenging and fun thing to do. Having decided, with my sponsors, airlines and a string of major hotels worldwide, it was decided that the Seven Wonders of the World were the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall of China, the Leaning Tower, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Empire State Building, Sydney Opera House and the Pyramids of Egypt. This places a notch staggering 42000 just 8 miles days.I had already visited 108 countries during my first round? Around the World in 80 days?. Having visited all the countries of my schedule was not working and I missed the country that I look forward to most, Egypt and now here I was on my second adventure and the final stage the trip not knowing whether I was going to see this wonderful country at all. I was on a standby ticket and when the number of deals was finally I ran up to him, I discovered that the flight had been oversold of 50 tickets. One of the officials promised that we would get a seat me, but my chances looked bleak enough! Silencieusement I sat watching what appeared to be the entire population of Heathrow Airport to board the aircraft. I was lost in my own thoughts and concerns. It does not seem to matter that I had visited 6 of 7 destinations, I would have failed, and everything that happened before would have been meaningless. There were only a handful of people left on board the aircraft and about ten minutes to go until the plane was to leave. I had been waiting for more than four hours was not even sure if there was anything to wait! I wondered if I had someone to ring to pick me to take home. Finally a voice broken, my thoughts by saying, "I ve got you a seat? I not? T get a real look at Egypt until the following day. Once reserved for my hotel, it has been very hard for me to sleep that night because he was like a kid on Christmas Eve. From the balcony of the hotel, I could see the modern city of Cairo in all its glory as beautiful as any city by nightfall. I felt sad to see the advertising of coke lighting up the evening sky in a country steeped in history so magical. He seemed somewhat too commercial and disrespectful. I suppose that the reason Cairo has been so much interest for me was that as far back as I can remember, I have always been fascinated by Egypt and its treasures, as the idea of being the same place that the ancient Egyptians held a certain Excitation for me. As I lay motionless on the bed with my eyes liabilities of the vision before me, my mind raced forward to the day ahead and I slipped to sleep with images of what I hoped to see the future morning. After a pleasant breakfast has been ordered a taxi to take me to the Pyramids. I soon discovered that the driver of the day seems to have already arranged my itinerary for me. Of course, being a complete beginner, I was really taken for a ride in more ways than one that day! I was immediately swept away by a papyrus shop and give a demonstration of how the ancient Egyptians made their paper. I was shown hundreds of beautiful paintings, which adorned the wall space available. The owner was very persuasive, trying to sell me some of the paintings, which I need not convince too! I would have gladly spent a fortune if I had the means to do so! The next port of call is a perfume shop and as in the previous shop, I was treated like an important customer, offered a seat and drink to butter me up for homeowners selling point! He certainly had the gift of the gab and I imagine he has charmed many cash unsuspecting tourists at the time. He gave me a sample of several of its alcohol-free perfumes and assured me that everyone is made from 100% oil that was extracted d '. He had beautiful fragrant scents in his shop and in the end, convinced me to take a step back to England with me. I found the whole atmosphere of the shop very magical. Everywhere you looks beautiful glass bottles that looked like they might be hiding inside a genius! I had spent too much on the budget, but felt that it was not? T every day, you have to spend a day in Egypt. I bought three bottles of the oil that is in their own special presentation case. I had the distinct impression that the driver had something happens with these merchants, any committee. (In Egypt after being several times now, I am not naive. Did not I? T too much of the spirit, but had to be firm and get him to take me directly to the pyramids foremost l money had disappeared. I suppose, because I was staying in a five-star hotel that he must have thought I was in charge! The driver took me through Cairo and transformed into a small side street where camels and horses and carts waited to take those who wanted the pyramids. I opted for a pipe and Charrette, I could not? T can imagine how very close camel legs could support my weight, even if they had four! I caught sight of the pyramids to the front after being ousted around in the cart for twenty minutes. ceased My escort for allowing me to Photographing the sphinx. He said:? camera gives you, I take your picture? Instantly I thought he was going to run with the camera and leave me stranded in the middle of the desert! I soon realized that I had allowed myself Listening to too many horror stories and told myself that it was time to relax a little. One thing I did find very amusing was the amount of men that jumped up behind the sand dunes, in the middle of nowhere, the sale of cards Postcards! My escort was very good for me and I guess they said that I did not have money as they sloped off after a few words of Arabic was exchanged. The pyramids were absolutely amazing. I could not not believe that I was only a few feet Far from them. I had imagined this moment so many times in the past. That is all I have ever dreamed and more. perfectly I was ecstatic and my boyfriend has said repeatedly, I was delighted to be in his country. He just smiled and thanked me. I was completely absorbed in the moment. As I looked at the pyramids I observed a traditionally dressed Arabic sitting astride his camel. I remember thinking? What a pretty picture art, it began to manufacture and clip To him away. Through the lens I noticed him getting bigger and bigger and realized he was heading toward us at the speed. Once he was close enough "he said," You take my picture like that? And sat in a proud pose with his arms Franchie. You give me the money and you take the photo, yes? I felt a little embarrassed, because I already took some pictures of him. I felt as if I had stolen something from him! Again my escort came to my rescue And the man on the camel sped off in the distance. escort My shrugged his shoulders and smiled as we continued on our way. When I returned to the starting point, my driver was waiting. It was obvious that he knew the owner of a small shop nearby. He offered me a cup of tea, which has been greatly benefited. I sat on a wooden bench in the center a small place and took the chance to observe the daily life of the local folk. Little children play barefoot and fortunately Giggled like they were having fun together. Some of the women wore the traditional black veil, while others not at all concerned. past Run young lads on their camels, the Egyptian equivalent of our own Gary boys I suppose! I was sitting alone in the Mid-Egypt but I was not in the slightest bit disturbed by it. I was totally absorbed in my family. People were very friendly wherever I went. Drivers wanted to give me a tour of Cairo, but I wanted to go to the museum to see Tutankhamun? S mask. The driver said he would take me home to meet his family if I had time later. accepted with gratitude, but I was not really sure what my plans were to be for the rest of the day. A After the museum, I left the driver, who told me he was going back to pick me up a few hours later. just bought a ticket and entered the museum. I was totally blown by the exhibits that I had previously seen only in reference books. It is difficult to explain the confusion of emotions that I found myself consumed by it. I was overcome, happiness, fear, I do? T really. I entered a dark room that contained some of the most precious possessions of Tutankhamen. aware that I was the mask is nearby, but did not want to watch it until I seen first. "I wanted to be able to slowly savor the experience. I felt myself experience strange sensations. I never read, in-depth one of my many books on Egypt antique, I just studied the images for hours. Flash bulbs on the cameras are strictly prohibited in the museum were still many corrupt profits from gullible tourists eager The mask to capture on film. I must confess that I was l 'one of them and handed over a couple of counterparty to a curator who proceeded to show me the best place to take a picture of. Immediately after I took 2 or 3 photos I Acculés by a couple of guards who promised to turn a blind eye if they each received two quid! I saw at least two other unsuspecting tourists get caught in this scam bit too clever and I could not? T were in the room for more A twenty minutes or mask was more amazing than I could ever have imagined. Ma vie? S ambition was now complete and everything else in life would be pretty flat after that! As promised, the driver was waiting for me outside the Museum. He asked me where I would be taken. I decided to go back to the hotel to catch up on some sleep. I decided that I wanted to visit the light and sound show at the evening and the pyramids Should the money. was told that I had to go to another hotel to try to get money and had only twenty minutes to spare before the bus who watched him do the show from scratch. En route, we had to stop at various hotels to collect all other passengers. I noticed that the Egyptians had a very novel way to find themselves parking tight! If a car is in the way the driver opened the door unlocked and took off the hand brake and the transfer of the offending car off the road! I arrived at the pyramid for the second time that day and took my place with other treasures want to see them at night. I noticed that there were blankets for hire and soon discovered that the reason why the show went On.The sphinx has been cleverly used as story-teller, music assisted by a thunder that exploded across the desert. pyramids were subtly and beautifully lit as was necessary when the story needed. A green laser light drew diagrams and cartridges on From the wall the largest pyramid. It was very cleverly done, and I thought it was an exciting experience. Though the desert night was extremely cold and coverage would surely have taken off the chill, the atmosphere was hypnotic! I was aware of the cold after the magnificent spectacle but it was too wrapped up in the moment to have lived. spectacular sound and light show was a perfect end to a perfect day.
