Lake Las Vegas Ice Skating

While skating is perhaps not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Christmas, in Las Vegas, even without snow, the floating ice rink in Lake Las Vegas holds about hobbies traditional Christmas. For the fourth year, Lake Las Vegas kicked off the holiday season with their size floating Rockefeller Center rink. The rink floating in the lake of 320 hectares, off the coast of MonteLago Village and is open to skaters of all ages. It employs 110 five-gallon pails of water and 12000 pounds chiller unit to help keep the ice cold, and can accommodate up to 60 skaters at a time. Starting off the holiday in Las Vegas, Lake Las Vegas Resort welcomed its ceremonial tree lighting, with an appearance by Santa Claus and a musical performance by Green Valley Choir and Helen Joy Choir Friday, November 16. Lake Las Vegas The rink is open daily from 9 am to noon, through Feb. 17. The cost is $ 15 per person, $ 12 for children 12 and under. Groups of 20 or more are $ 8 a person and season passes are also available for $ 125 (including the cost of renting skates). Lake Las Vegas is host of fun and other holiday themed events too. The popular annual gingerbread runs every day until December 22, as well as holiday shopping and visiting Santa Claus in Monte Lago until December 23.
