My Fuerteventura Fun & Tourism Nightmares

A lot of businesses in Fuerteventura and the other Canary own rental properties and holiday makers and vacationers from other countries as well as the Spanish mainland. And the main national who visit the Canary Islands are the Germans, British and Irish. Now this seems a small section of the world changed many countries. And there is a very simple reason for this: only a few countries have direct flights to the Canary Islands, and the tracks are a bit short for larger aircraft at this time. In addition, only a few of these countries taking place in advertising for these destinations, and they do not seem interested in comparison with those who advertise mainland Spain, Europe or Florida. It make much sense that countries with direct access routes should promote these places, but it would be great if other countries approached the airlines about routing in Islands. There is plenty of room for airlines more varied, as well as airports have been (or are) in the renewed hope a population explosion by 2008. But unfortunately never happened. But what happened was the credit crunch hit, and hit hard. The gas prices for airlines increased, and this expenditure was (helpful) adopted at the traveler. But this has affected all parties, holidays and suddenly appears to be a secondary consideration. This is very sad as I live in the Canary Islands and to see places low to tourists, empty seats on aircraft, and tourist attractions not only attract tourists, is a crime. I realize that this is a global problem, but I suppose that resonates somewhere as small as Fuerteventura, which is so dependent on tourism. Its a visible and tangible thing, they do not come, the place is empty. To see our islands dying a death is terrible, and I am sure that everyone around the world suffer just as badly. But life here in this microcosm really hits home ... and hard. But Islands, Fuerteventura and in particular, are good places to visit. They are safe, clean, and prices here are impressive. Ownership of land is cheap to buy and rent, and the average meal for the family is probably 40% lower than the USA.Come and see us in the Canary Islands, can mean a little more effort to get here. But I promise you it will be worth it.
