Tenerife Looks To The Future With New Tourist Infrastructure

The Canary Islands have been one of the most popular destinations for years for European tourists, but messages are emerging as to how fair and Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria being carried out in 2008, with some in the travel industry reported a decrease in the popularity islands, while others in the tourism industry that authorities say are as popular as it seems ever.Tenerife is optimistic about the number of tourists. Therefore, optimistic, in fact, Tenerife continues to grant building permits to developers of new hotels in anticipation of future tourism euros. One of the latest additions is Dutch-owned Luz del Mar hotel.Residents and business owners in the area of Los Silos de Tenerife are hoping that the small hotel stimulate travel in the northern part of Tenerife. Historically, the south coast of the island receives more visitors and thus tourism euros more than the north coast. This trend has shifted though, at least to some extent in the last decade. More investors are recognizing the potential for growth on the north coast. The Silos, in particular, although small in resident population (6000 or less) is rich in history and lush green vegetation. Much of this region are officially protected within areas.Of particular interest in this region of northern Tenerife is the Rural Park Teno (Rural Park Teno). This park is part of the protected area of Los Silos and surrounding regions. Much of it is inaccessible because of its extraordinary mountainous terrain. Its natural beauty is breathtaking. The park is an ecological gem, as it is home to one of the few laurel forests in the world. Many of its plant and animal species are endemic to the Canaries and in this particular area. The park is also home to the famous Giant Cliffs, huge rock faces downward plunge of 600 meters below the sea. The ocean around the cliffs attracts divers from around the world. Like the Rural Park Teno, the sea is also rich in plant and animal life. The cliffs can be seen from a vantage point in the park. Or, tourists can rent a boat that will take you directly to the cliffs across a small bay from the ocean for a closely look.Teno Rural Park may be one of Tenerife, rather keep secret. His own immensity limited development in the north of Tenerife, a few restricted areas. Perhaps this is why we Los Silos and other municipalities in the north have not enjoyed the same kind as the number of tourists to the southern coast has seen. This seems to be changing somewhat though, especially with the arrival of new hotels, as the Light of the Sea. Hotels and hostels on the north coast tend to be smaller, and perhaps a little more eclectic, massive than their counterparts in the south. This is in a good state of maintenance of premises with a desire to benefit from Tenerife in the tourism industry without compromising the ecology that drives this industry. The Silos and surrounding areas to maintain some hope atmosphere while still attracting people holidaymakers.By limit the development of municipal areas and leaving undisturbed natural areas as Rural Teno, Tenerife could ensure its future as a tourist destination and a alike. And conservatory with small and boutique hotels being built, this is likely to appeal to tourists who prefer a natural environment for mass tourism hotels.
