Mayfair in London - a Brief History

Mayfair has been a constant buzz and popular located in London, because of its central location and in particular because of its proximity to neighbouring Hyde Park.The name Mayfair (May Fayre) has its origins in the annual fair which was held in May, which rose from busy Haymarket and Piccadilly these quiet streets especially around Curzon Street and Shepherd Market.The fair was held for two weeks every May, until 1708 when he was arrested by the intervention of the residents.
